AUPhotoDeluxe AUPhotoDeluxe is the ultimate photo arranger for OOTP. This program will allow you to arrange your collection of MLB photos in a very easy way. Requirements: The program requires 2 large downloads and one smaller download to work. You can launch the program and download from the program or you can manually download from the links shown here: larry.csv - www.planetootp.com/photodl/larry.csv - This file needs to be placed in a folder called C:\AU2007. This file contains a list of all the players that have ever played baseball at the professional level, with their debut season and their ending season. It is based on the Lahman database. It is around 600KB in size main_images.zip - www.planetootp.com/photodl/main_images.zip - This was originally the Gambo collection (Thanks Gambo), and it has been updated by me. I added quite a few images to this collection from other sources. This file is roughly 60 meg in size. It should be unzipped to your OOTP photo folder. If you use my program to download it, it will place the zip file in the AU2007 folder. year_images.zip - www.planetootp.com/photodl/year_images.zip - This was originally the WingWright collection that I have cleaned up and added to. (Thanks WingWright). This collection contains subfolders with different years in it. Each player will have their photo in the year that they debuted. This can be unzipped to any folder you desire. NOTE: There may be duplicates in both collections. This is by design. When you create a new historical league or import in historical rookies, the OOTP program looks in the OOTP photo folder and copies over the correct photo, based on the name of the player. Now, once you have the three downloads in place, you must tell my program where the photos are located. Just use the browse button for each choice. You can also set the league that you are working with. Once the options are set, you are ready to use the program. There are two radio buttons on the right; Active Players Only: Click this before you click the START button and only players that are active will be displayed in the list. All Players: Click this and it will display every single player in the database. When you click on a players name on the left, it will show his pictures, if they exist. The top left photo is the photo located in the Gambo collection. This is the OOTP photo folder. If the player has a photo in the WW collection, then it will show those photo(s). Under each one will be the year where the picture if located. The program will display a total of 20 photos for each player. The photo on the bottom right shows the photo that is used in the current league for this player. Now there are a couple options that you can do from this screen. If you click on the top left photo (Gambo collection), you will see the COPY button will change. You can also click on the YEAR selector above the button. By clicking this button, it will copy that photo to the year that you have selected, overwriting the photo that is there, if one exists. Example: I click on Ed Acosta. It shows 2 photos. One in PHOTOS and one in the 1970 folder. So, I click on the top photo and then change the year to 1971 and click copy. It then copies that photo to the correct folder. Now click on his name again from the players list and you will see that he now has 3 photos. One under PHOTOS and one under 1970 and 1971. NOTE: Players are shown as having played 5 years, even if they played less than that. This is by design, so that you can have multiple photos for those players. You can manually modify the larry.csv file to add more years, if desired. Now, click on the 1970 photo. You will see how the other COPY button has now been activated to allow you to copy this photo over to the OOTP PHOTO folder. A click and it is done. There is also a large green button called USE IN LEAGUE. To use this button, you must 1st click on one of the photos, either the top left one or any of the year photos. Then click on the green button and it will copy it over to the selected league and use that photo for that player. It will overwrite the photo that is there. Another handy function of the program is to automatically add photos to your historical league. To do this, use the pull down menu to UPDATE LEAGUE. First, there are three options that you can set; Use Gambo, Use Yearly and Overwrite Images. If you uncheck Use Gambo, it will NOT check the OOTP folder for pictures. If you remove the checkmark from the Use Yearly, it will not check the yearly folder. By default, the program will not overwrite existing photos in the league. You can have it overwrite the photos by clicking the OVERWRITE option before you run the update. A file will be created in the AU2007 folder that will log what happens. You can also view this log from the pull down menu. Please, send any suggestions to improve the program or to report any bugs to webcomedian@msn.com. Please send me any photos to add to the collection. I will be adding the 'CHECK FOR UPDATES' button later when I get some pictures sent to me. Using this program, and the creative talents of the public and some collaboration, we can get the best historical photo collection available, but it is up to YOU to get this collection together and sent to me. Also, do not be afraid to use the DONATE button on www.planetootp.com. I spent a lot of time and effort on this and other programs, make me feel good about it and dontate!
